Short phonetic reading series (pink) (in English) - Nienhuis AMI

This is the series that is usually called the pink series; also known as the Short Phonetic Series.

The emphasis here is on introducing children to words made up of three letters or less and containing short vowels. Students also have the opportunity to explore beginning and ending sounds.

This series contains six main sections , each of which has the following sets of material:
- Beginning Decoding of three-letter words and short vowels:
- Construction of object words (5 groups, one for each: a, e, i, o, u)
- Construction of image words (5 groups, one for each: a, e, i, o, u)
- Three-part card matching (10 three-part card images for each vowel )
- Beginning of the coding of three-letter words and short vowels:
- One-page book (30 books emphasizing word/picture association)
- Object/label correspondence (15 objects; 3 for each vowel with corresponding labels)
- Image/word association (12 images for each vowel for a total of 6 packs of 10 images)
- Picture/word match (12 pictures for each vowel for a total of 6 packs of 10 picture/label matches) Picture puzzle (60 pictures with 12 pictures for each vowel)
- Encoding of three-letter words and short vowels:
- Middle vowel sorting activity (45 frames containing an image and the start and end sound corresponding to this sound).
- Word lists (42 word lists)
- Mid-vowel substitution (15 frames each containing 2 words)
- Reading three-letter words and short vowels to determine their meaning :
- Word/not a word (sorting work)
- Sentences to objects (6 sets of sentence cards with corresponding objects)
- Reading secret words of three letters and short vowels (adjectives and verbs) to determine their meaning :
- Secret words (32 words for verbs; 12 words for adjectives)
- Reading expressions and sentences containing three-letter words and short vowels to determine their meaning :
- Phrases and sentences corresponding to pictures (4 sets of 6 sentences corresponding to 6 pictures in each series).
- Commands (8 command cards) Books (30 picture and word books)
- Books (5 storybooks with short vowel three-letter words and words to see)
